Name: Cheryl Mann
Age:

City of residence:
Oakland, CA

Cheryl_Mann Color 350 dpi.jpg

How long a WHCE member: I first joined in 1990.

What I get out of being a WHCE member: The broad and varied WHCE membership helps me stay current with health care trends in all arenas so that I can better serve our clients.  It’s a wonderful way to stay connected with colleagues and friends, as well as make new ones!

Occupation: Consultant – Team Development – my company and I help increase efficiency for heath care organizations and teams that struggle with productivity and profitability due to ineffective team dynamics

Employer:
Goals InSight

Education:
BA, MBA

Why I work in health care:
Working in health care honors my values of making a difference in the world and supporting people who are making differences in peoples lives.

One life/career “wisdom pearl” you’d like to pass on: Gandhi said it best:  “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

I’m proud of:
Taking the leap in leaving corporate America years ago to follow my career life passion!

I’m passionate about: Personal accountability and having a “can do” attitude.  If we all are accountable for all that we do and have a positive attitude along the way, the collective productivity, good and humanity in our world could increase exponentially.

What I do for fun:
Spend time with friends and family, community service, walk my dog, meditation retreats, camp and spend time in nature – all over the world!

Favorite quote: “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” by Wayne Dyer.
